Initial Registration for Overseas Registered Nurses (IRON)

This course is designed to provide international qualified nurses with the knowledge, skills and understanding to practice safely and competently in a variety of health care settings in Australia.

On successful completion of this course, graduates will be eligible to apply to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) for registration as a Registered Nurse.

HLT54115 Diploma of Nursing

The aim of the course is to produce highly skilled, competent, confident and critically thinking enrolled nurses.

The Diploma of Nursing is nationally accredited and after successful completion of the program students can apply to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) to gain registration as an enrolled nurse.

To be registered as an Enrolled Nurse, applicants must meet the registration standards set out by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia including the Nursing and Midwifery English Language Skills Registration Standard. The approved standards can be accessed at:
